Oxane Materials Inc. Opening New Plant in Van Buren

     R.H. Ghan Commercial Properties is excited to announce the plans for Oxane Materials to locate a production facility in Van Buren. Oxane Materials manufactures highly conductive ultralight ceramic proppants. The products Oxane will make in Van Buren will be used in shale exploration for natural gas. Carl Sorrell, Vice President of Manufacturing for Oxane, said the company considered more than 80 facilities in 8 states before ultimately choosing Van Buren.

La Huerta to open 3rd resturant in Ft.Smith

     R.H. Ghan Commercial Properties recently facilitated a transaction with La Huerta owner, Juan Barba, to open a new resturant in Ft. Smith. The new resturant will be located at 5605 Rogers Avenue, which was previously occupied by Lonestar Steakhouse. The building is around 6,400 square feet in size. Barba is doing some remodeling to the interior of the building and hopes to open the resturant sometime in June. The resturant currently has 17 locations in Arkansas and Poteau.

Longhorn Steakhouse Resturant to Open in Fort Smith

     R.H. Ghan Commercial Properties has recently learned Longhorn Steakhouse will soon be opening a new resturant in Fort Smith. The new steakhouse will be located at 3805 Phoenix Avenue inside the Pavilion Shopping Center. Longhorn Steakhouse resturants has 324 locations in 32 states. This location will be the first Longhorn Steakhouse in the state of Arkansas. The resturant is projected to be about 6,000 square feet in size, will seat around 240 guests, and will employ around 80 people.

New Wind Turbine Manufacturing Plant Coming to Fort Smith

R.H. Ghan Commercial Properties is pleased to learn that Mitsubishi Power Systems America, Inc (MPSA) plans to build a wind turbine manufacturing facility in Fort Smith, AR. MPSA selected Fort Smith after an extensive, fifteen month site selection process. Fort Smith was chosen for many reasons, but ultimately it was Arkansas' commitment to renewable energy. U.S. Senator, Mark Pryor, said "Arkansas and Mitsubishi are a winning combination for renewable energy and economic development."

New Best Western Inn & Suites on Rogers Avenue

R.H. Ghan is excited to announce there is a new Best Western Inn & Suites on Rogers Avenue. The new hotel recently opened in Feburary 2010. The new Best Western contains four-stories and 83 rooms. Lisa Whitten, vice president of Whitten Hospitality in Russellville, said the new hotel includes 21 large suites. Each suite contains a microwave, refrigerator, and a 32-inch LCD television with high definition cable. Other amenities include: a heated, outdoor pool, an exercise room, a conference room, guest laundry, and a basketball court will be added this summer.

Metal Sales Manufacturing Corporation coming to Ft.Smith

R.H. Ghan is proud to announce that Metal Sales Manufacturing Corporation will be opening a new operation in Ft.Smith, AR. The Louisville, KY based corporation plans to invest $4.1 million at the former Indiana Tube operation located at 7510 Ball Road. The new operation will create up to 15 jobs for the Fort Smith area. Metal Sales Manufacturing Corporation has been in business for over 45 years and has 20 locations in the U.S. The company makes a wide range of metal roof, wall, fascia, and soffit panels for commercial, architectual, industrial, and residential markets.

Rockline Industries

R.H. Ghan Commercial Properties in Fort Smith Arkansas has learned that Rockline Industries, the largest producer of coffee filters and private label baby wipes in North America, announced it had purchased the 1.2 million-square-foot Today’s Plastics’ building in Booneville.  The company will invest $5 million and create more than 200 jobs over the next five years as it opens a wet wipes manufacturing and distribution facility.  The Booneville wet wipes plant will be the second in the state, as Rockline already operates a Springdale facility with about

New Hotels To Open In Fort Smith

R.H. Ghan Commercial Properties is pleased to announce two new hotels are comming to the Fort Smith Arkansas market. Candlewood Suites and Homewood Suites are slated to open by fall 2008 at the intersection of Phoenix Avenue and South 74th Street. Fort Smith Building Permits Up

For the first half of the year, building permit values are up in the area compared to the same time last year.  The City of Fort Smith Arkansas ussued 1,385 permits from January through June this year valued at $100.77 million, up 60 percent from the $63.19 million last year on 1,339 permits.  For June, total permits increased 43 percent to 14.47 million on 236 permits.  R.H. Truck Company Coming to Poteau

R.H. Ghan Commercial Properties has learned that Dallas based Tiger Truck Company will open a facility to assemble off-road cargo vehicles in Poteau Oklahoma.  Employment levels could reach 300 within five years.  The plant will also have about a $3 million payroll and pay salaries averaging $30,000 per year.  The facility is planned to open in October 2007.  R.H.
