U.S. Marshals Come to Fort Smith
R.H. Ghan Commercial
Properties has learned that on January 4, 2007 The U.S. Marshals
Service selected Fort Smith Arkansas as the new home for the U.S.
Marshals Museum. After a two-year study by The U.S. Marshals Service,
Fort Smith Arkansas was selected to be the host city for the agency's
new museum. With 10,000 square feet of historical artifacts, the
planned U.S. Marshals Museum will capture the past, present and future
law enforcement roles of the nation's oldest federal law enforcement
agency. Where the museum will be located, its exact size and how many
ultimately will staff it have not been determined. The U.S. Marshals
Service Museum construction, start-up and tow years of operating fees
are estimated at $26.4 million. Scheduled to open within six years,
the museum will also serve as an education center and will feture key
artifacts and interactive exhibits that illustrate the Marshals' many
historic missions. R.H. Ghan Commercial Properties Welcomes The U.S.
