New Wind Turbine Manufacturing Plant Coming to Fort Smith

R.H. Ghan Commercial Properties is pleased to learn that Mitsubishi Power Systems America, Inc (MPSA) plans to build a wind turbine manufacturing facility in Fort Smith, AR. MPSA selected Fort Smith after an extensive, fifteen month site selection process. Fort Smith was chosen for many reasons, but ultimately it was Arkansas' commitment to renewable energy. U.S. Senator, Mark Pryor, said "Arkansas and Mitsubishi are a winning combination for renewable energy and economic development."

MPSA plans to invest $100 Million in a new plant that will be located at Chaffee Crossing and will take up 90 acres. The new plant will provide up to 400 jobs for the area. MPSA was established in 2001 and is headquartered in Lake Mary, Florida. The company provides a wide variety of products and services for the electric power generation indusrty including: gas, steam, wind, geothermal and hydroelectric turbines and boilers. R.H.
