R.H. Ghan recently learned the Jazz Fest has been "rebooted" this year and has been moved to downtown Fort Smith. This year the event, previously held at Creekmore Park, will be held at Ross Pendergraft Park, 200 Garrison Ave on May 22. The festival will feature the Northside Highschool Jazz Program at 1 p.m., followed by Scott McQuade at 1:45 p.m., The DJ McRoberts Combo at 3:15 p.m., Odis Elevator and the Flights at 4:15 p.m., Rogers Jazz Society at 5:45 p.m., and Jazz heavyweight Ted Ludwig at 7:15 p.m..The festival is free and open to all ages. There will be vendors with food, coffee and more. Organizers of the event are expecting as many as 1,000 area residents and visitors to attend the event this year. R.H.
